Executive Chef Jake Thiessen  came to Lincoln in 2011 to learn the art of French baking at his family’s bakery, Le Quartier Baking Co., after working as a chef in Japan the previous 3 years. From there, he found a unique opportunity to be a part of a brand new restaurant idea for Lincoln: a cafe run and supported by local farms. The Hub Cafe is owned by Branched Oak Farm and positioned at the “hub” of Lincoln’s bike trails. Jake has found his perfect match and shares a passion for both local food and bicycling.
